The Carstens Amplification® 2x12 is a split-back extension speaker cabinet. This split-back design gives you the option of a closed back, or an open back cabinet by simply removing the top back panel. As an open back, your cabinet will offer a natural, open, ambient sound. As a closed back, your cabinet will produce a more focused, punchy and directional sound.
Each cab is handcrated in the USA using baltic birch. Inside, the standard speaker compliment is one 12" Celestion Alnico Cream speaker and one 12" Ceramic Weber Blue Dog speaker hand-wired to 8 ohms (stock). This combination of ceramic and alnico speakers delivers a beautiful sonic frequency range of warm lows, rich, vocal midrange and chimey, 3D highs for both clean and high gain tonesThe clarity and punch of the ceramic speaker perfectly compliments alnico warmth and bell-like tones from clean to high gain.

This cab is the perfect compliment to the Carstens Amplification® Grace and/or Warm Machine amplifier as well as a great cabinet to accompany any other guitar amplifier.
